Kippy Morrow…

Kippy “Kip” Ray Morrow, beloved husband, father, friend, and Papa, age 59, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family and friends, Saturday, Oct 31st, 2020 after a battle with colon cancer.

A lifelong resident of Catoosa, OK. Kip was born July 13th, 1961 in Tulsa, OK to Linda and Bill Morrow. He was a 1980 graduate of Catoosa High School. He married Theresa (Susie) Kapics, on Feb 14th, 1981.

Kip was a loving husband, father, spoiler of his 8 grandkids, teller of endless stories and questionable jokes. He never let his children or grandkids want for nothing. This sacrifice extended beyond his own blood to any of his kids friends or the many kids he coached throughout the years. He never met a stranger, often acting as an impromptu manager at restaurants, asking other patrons if they needed to be seated or anything to drink. Aside from his love for his family, his true passion was bass fishing. Fishing hundreds of tournaments over the years, he knew the surrounding Oklahoma lakes like the back of his hand. This knowledge even prompted professional anglars to seek him out when the Bass Master classic came to town. However, his most cherished moments on the water were fishing with his kids, grandkids and his many adopted sons, but especially his son Kippy (Bubba) Morrow II.

No matter what Kip did, he did it with passion and pride, especially when it came to lawn care. After decades working as a machinist, he switched careers to ride the mower full time. He was meticulous and it showed in his work. It was his outlet and he would often work himself to exhaustion, only to be back at it the next morning before the sun came up.

Kip, with his infectious personality, lit up any room and quickly became the life of the party, he was a giant piece to our world, proving love and laughter, he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving spouse, of 39 years, Susie, his children and their spouses; Brandie Anderson and Randy Barnes; Ryan and Ashley Lewis; Kippy and Debbie Morrow; and grandchildren, Stephen Brockup, Kaitlyn Anderson, Conner Thomas, Wyatt Anderson, Adilyn Morrow, Aniston Lewis, Brooklyn McAnally and Reece Lewis. He was preceded in death by his mother Linda Morrow and father Bill Morrow.
