Our next event for 2013 will be this weekend on Grand Lake. We will be launching from the Wolf Creek Park facility in Grove, OK on 16th street. Those of you who fished the first event here will now have a better understanding of how the park and launching facilities lay out. In an effort to try to make things run smoother, we will be directing you thru the park in the following order:
* Enter the park from 16th Street as normal
* Turn left at the first park entrance
* Follow this lane all the way up to 21st Street
* At 21st Street, make a right
* Follow 21st Street to Sunrise Street
* At Sunrise, make a right
* Follow this directly into the launch area
DO NOT block cross traffic on Sunrise, as boats launching will need to cross into the big parking lot.
The purpose of this route, is to get all of the trucks and boats off of the highway. If you follow this route, it will be a painless, smooth process. DO NOT park on the launch ramp parking lot, and when you load in the afternoon, pull across the street to tie down your boats. Leave the launch area open at all times so boats can load and un-load quickly.
Saturday will be a Skeeter Demo ride event. Take a ride in a new 2013 Skeeter, and get entered into a drawing for $1000! You must be present at weigh-in to receive this award. Daniel Smith from Brad’s Boat Sales will be on hand with his crew to answer any questions. Derek Cotner will also have the Brad’s Boat Sales service trailer at the launch site should you experience any motor or boat issues.
It’s not to late to sign up for the Boat USAngler Weigh To Win program. At our first event on Grand, we had 7 boats break down. If they had had the Boat USAngler program, they would have been able to call an 800 number for help, or have been towed in…all for one low annual price!
