XFL – Extreme Fishing League

The XFL Championship will be October the 5th and 6th on Grand Lake out of Wolf Creek. You can enter via PayPal, mail, or drop off your entry at Blackbeard Marine in Tulsa. We will be onsite at Wolf creek park on Friday the 4th from noon until 6 PM taking entries. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at info@fishxfl.com, or call or text us at 918/401-0069.

Due to the last tournament on the River having to be cancelled, we are adjusting the qualification rules. Any team that fished at least one event this year will be eligible for the Championship. We know that some of you had planned on fishing, or already entered the River in order to qualify with your team, or a new member, so we will work with you to get you into the Championship.

We look forward to seeing each of you at Grand Lake on October 5th and 6th! We are currently working on next years format and schedule, and hope to have it released soon.

After a meeting with 3 Forks and the Corp, we have decided to cancel this event. Officials are not wanting any events on the River until early September. We will not attempt to make up or move this event due to hot temperatures and remaining high water on other lakes. We will announce in the next few days the qualifying requirements for the Championship. We are sorry, but conditions just have done been favorable for tournaments this year. Refunds for those already entered into the event will be issued early next week.

We have rescheduled the cancelled event on the Arkansas River for Sunday July 28th. If you already paid for the cancelled event, your entry has been rolled over to this event. Sorry for the late summer date, but it was the only weekend that did not conflict with other local events. If we did schedule on top of someone else, we apologize…make up dates are hard to come by. More details to come as we get closer to the date.

As expected, the Corp of Engineers have estimated the water flow in the river to be above safe levels on tournament day. Along with this, they expect more floaters and debris to be in the river by Sunday. We made an attempt to move the event to Gibson, but were told that it would be at least 16′ high by Sunday morning. Erring on the side of safety, we chose to cancel the tournament. We will reschedule this event for either late June or early July on the River out of Three Forks Harbor. If you had already paid an entry, it will be rolled to the new date or refunded.

We are monitoring the conditions of the river daily. With the rain that has dropped in the area the past few days, and the rising water levels, we are getting reports of a lot of floaters and trash in the main river. We are in contact with the Corp and lock masters, and will make a decision soon as to what we can, or will do. Just as soon as we know, we will notify you by text (if you are registered), via the web site, and on the Bass Zone.

Let’s face it folks, we spend a lot of money on our boats, motors and gear so we can do what we love to do every chance Momma gives us!  We all know those new 4 Stroke motors hanging off the back of our boats are expensive as you know what.  That thing goes down all you see are dollar bills flying out of your pocket.

Our next event will be this Sunday April 7th on Eufaula out of Peter’s Point. We will be set up at Peter’s Point from noon until 6PM on Saturday taking entries. You can still enter via PayPal up until 5PM Saturday night. Take off will be about 7:00 AM on Sunday (depending on weather).
