XFL Championship Grand Lake

October 3 &4, 2015, Grove, OK.- The XFL-Extreme Fishing League presented by Skeeter Boats held it’s 2015 two-day Championship on Grand Lake.  147 teams participated in this event and were greeted with beautiful weather.  Morning temps were in the high 40s with daytime highs a very pleasant 70 degrees, cool north winds and clear skies.  Despite the great fishing weather the “catching” wasn’t all that great.  The bass seemed to be in a major transition pattern from summer to fall that had them scattered. This made fishing pretty tough as evidenced by the lower than average weights.  For the two-days only 48 teams managed to bring in a two-day limit of 10 fish.

Championship update

A few things about the championship:

1) Take off and weigh in will be at Martin Landing. You must go thru boat check at Martin’s or at the pontoon boat.
2) Echo Bay will be off limits.
3) Wolf Creek will be open to fishing.
4) If you fished two events this year, you qualified for the Championship.
5) Paypal will shut down at 5 pm on Friday.
6) We will be set up to take entries at Martin’s starting at noon on Friday.

Blackbeard Marine to open Tuesday September 15th in Tulsa!

Tulsa’s newest Skeeter dealer will open it’s doors on Tuesday September 15th at 8 am. Blackbeard will be a full line Skeeter/Yamaha dealer along with a full line of G3 aluminum bass and pontoon boats. The dealership hours will be Monday thru Saturday 8 am until 5 pm, and is located at 4424 South Mingo Road in Tulsa. We will have more information about the dealership and employees later this week…

XFL Championship to move to new location on Grand Lake

We were notified today by the GRDA that Wolf Creek will be closed from the last week of September until the Bassmaster Classic in March?? It looks like the City of Grove will be starting the “second phase” of the Wolf Creek project, and all of the ramps will be closed to boating access during this phase.

We will be announcing the new weigh-in location on Grand Lake in the next few days. We apologize for this change, and assure you that we are just as unhappy with this as you are…and more!

UPDATE: Tournament moved to Martin Landing.

Lake Eufaula water levels

As of last night, the water was going over the spillway at Eufaula. We are monitoring this issue, and will be making a decision soon as to if we are going to move our next event. Watch here for the latest…
